![]() A show like Kami-Machi Sana-chan, which is about as vanilla as it gets, is a good example of why. So, it’s because of this, I posit that for a vanilla work, sheer production quality is of utmost importance. Because when you’re just starting out watching hentai, vanilla is just about the only thing you should be reasonably be expected to handle, since more degenerate hentai would disgust you, and more narratively rich hentai would more than certainly bore you, considering the presumable purpose of your viewing. You may think that you are the exception, but give a couple of years and compare what you like then to what you like now, it’s likely markedly different. ![]() But no matter what direction your taste takes, vanilla inevitably loses its appeal. In the past I have talked about how I believe the first few hentai that people watch influence their tastes later down the line, and the link to that is in the description. For the vast majority of people who partake in the viewing of hentai, it’s only a matter of time until their tastes develop. I see vanilla hentai as a service for introducing people into the greater world of hentai anime and manga. For some of you, that’s exactly what you want to see, and that’s fine, because despite my dislike for such works I am not blind to their value. But for me to consider something “vanilla” it generally has to consist of only plain romantic sex and nothing else. A work can have romantic sex and have other aspects around it to bolster it, like a well thought out narrative, for example. Or rather, I’m sick of seeing works that don’t do anything else except that. That’s not to say it necessarily has to be degenerate in any way, but rather that I am totally bored of seeing a lovey-dovey couple have pure and sweet romantic sex. I have been watching hentai for so long now, that for a work to intrigue me, it has to do something different.
